rainy day today so odd jobs done and dinner time is on the mind! It feels like an evening for a nice bottle of red next to the fire and a good home cooked roast.
I have the chicken at the ready and potatoes to roast. Some broccoli, freshly podded peas & home cooked gravy will go very nicely:) I am feeling a little indulgent and on that note the chef gives me a little tip to add a twist to our tasty roast…adding a small amount of combined brioche, truffle & foie gras under the skin of the chicken while it roasts!! What a treat!
Is there anything better than the smell of chicken roasting, floating around the house. One of my favourite smells and when it rains outside and the fire is roaring, there really is no place like home:)
